Remember that every day we are offered an invitation to live, to fully live. To live a life of engagement, a life of whimsy. We find this in the sunrise, in the hearty knowing smile of a friend, in the crisp morning air while camping at a mountain lake, in the beauty of a infant's chubby smile. Each day I GET to choose to engage in this life. Few people turn down an invitation to the White House but many turn down the invitation and settle for distance, distraction or numbing oneself to life.

1. Choose to engage each day and be fully present.
Look for opportunities to speak words of encouragement to others. When I see a noteworthy action or characteristic of an individual- TELL them. Words have power- power to shape the lives of others and my life as well.
